Stop #368 on my tour of every Michigan brewery was Great Turtle Brewery and Distillery. This is Michigan’s second island brewery, & the second most remote. Whiskey Point Brewing Co. still holds that title.

If you ride Shepler's Mackinac Island Ferry over it’s literally 100’ to the left once off the dock. Grab your luggage, bike, then grab a beer!

Four in house brews with plenty of guest taps. As seen in the photo, I chose to sample all 4 with a big pour of their “Pedal Fast IPA”. An easy drinking 4.7%. Lite enough to allow for a couple laps around the island. The other three are “No Cars Allowed Cream Ale” “Hoban Street Stout” & “Mackinac Summer Sour”.

In order I liked Hoban Street, Mackinac Summer, No Cars Allowed, Pedal Fast. All are extremely crushable! If you find yourself on Michigan’s busiest island, make sure to stop in. It’s a great place to fuel up and people watch!
