Webster defines Falling Down as, what happens after you ask for a second pour of SORRY, NOT SORRY! What's that you ask? Oh just a 20% ABV Triple Pineapple/Mango IPA. A 40 proof beer. I apologize to the woman at the bar. Your lap broke my fall! This beer was brewed for their 4th anniversary party in April 2017. It's sweet, bitter, and boozy. By far the best beer I've had here.
I've been to Falling Down quite a few times. There aren't too many things that get me to Warren, but great experimental beer does the trick. That right there is what makes this place stand out. You don't find just your run of the mill brew. There seems to be a twist on everything they make food included. Don't get me wrong they have their staples. Like Ninja Chicken Pale Ale 5.6%. Just had this one last night. 5 Goat Army IPA 6.8%. A west coast style, made with a blend of 5 different hops. You say not hoppy or strong enough for your taste? Then the 7 Goat Army IPA 9% should do the trick. It's piney, bitter, and full of citrus. YUM! Belgian Golden Strong 10% just another stellar brew that if you're not careful you'll be............. FALLING DOWN!
I seem to find myself with great company each time I'm here. Last night meeting a fellow blogger Emily for the first time. Give her a follow on IG http://www.instagram.com/mittenbeergirl/. She knows her brew! My last birthday I was accompanied by the clan Park Bear, Shoulders, Silent J, & Officer Christina. This past anniversary party I met a great beer drinking couple with impecable taste in music, Erica and Matt. Last but not least my first visit here and favorite was with Rachel. We went for their 2nd anniversary party. Upset at myself that it took two years to find Falling Down. Two things stand out from this visit, 1) Rachel had a beer brewed with oysters! I was skeptical at first but it actually had great flavor. 2) The staff was opening great bottles in the back room to celebrate the day. They were kind enough to share a pour of BBA Plead the Fifth from Dark Horse. Much appreciated! Point being, I've never had a bad beer or bad time at Falling Down.
The eats... As good as their beer??? I think so! Toasted PB&J check. Pulled Pork or Fried Chicken Slider check. Build your own Grilled Cheese check. Reuben Eggs Rolls check. I've had them all, and lots more. One of if not the best menus at a brewery! Go for the beer, stay for the food.
Falling Down is really growing in popularity. They're being tapped all over the state. Also, they have a second location in Oxford opening very soon. Check out their FB page https://www.facebook.com/fallingdownbeeroxford/.
If I were to have one complaint it's the hours. Weekends specifically. Only open until 11 on Friday and Saturday. Closed on Sundays! Say what?!? That's when I do my best drinking. I get places being closed on Mondays, but 1/2 the weekend? I'll never understand. That gives five days each week to make it to Falling Down. I PROMISE that if you enjoy great craft beer you will not be disappointed. If you happen to be your next pint is on me.
